Curriculum and Instruction
Welcome to the web page of the Office of Curriculum and Instruction. The goal of this office is to ensure a comprehensive, high quality instructional program for students PK-12. At this time, there are three major areas of focus:
- CURRICULUM: The District has developed grade level curricula that is guided by the New York State Learning Standards. Curriculum will continuously be reviewed to ensure quality and that learning objectives are aligned both at grade level and from one grade level to the next. All curriculum will meet or exceed the expectations of New York State.
- ASSESSMENT: Assessment will be purposefully utilized to inform curriculum and instruction.
- PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Teachers will be offered meaningful professional development. They will also be coached and supported as they continue to grow as professionals and improve the quality and effectiveness of instructional programs.
