Greetings Scio Families,
February and March have been busy months for Scio Central. Our Math/STEM and Art Show night was a great success. It was a great family night playing games, learning, and art appreciation. Thank you to all who attended. We also had NHS and NJHS inductions, multiple field trips for students to experience the arts and culture, our first school-wide Student Wellness Day, student leadership field trip events, Bingo for Books family night, All-County music concerts, Dr. Seuss week, the senior class trip, and more. We may be a small school, but we work to provide opportunities for our students that engage them in our school community and allow them to grow and learn beyond the classroom.
This time of year we are also busy preparing for the 2025-2026 year and the budget that makes it all happen. In the budget process, we work to take a thoughtful approach to crafting a budget that is responsible and sustainable. This issue of the newsletter includes detailed information about the budget for next school year. I invite you to attend the budget hearing that will be held during the Board meeting on Wednesday, May 7th at 6:30 p.m. If you are unable to attend this meeting and have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or our Business Administrator, Jon Cucchiaro.
It is hard to believe that we are already moving into the last quarter of this school year. We hope to see you at the upcoming events.
